What to Bring

Pack the essentials.

The key to having snowfun is to be prepared for the weather.

The following list contains suggestions for what to bring on our excursions:

  • Photo ID (e.g. driver's license)
  • Equipment (if applicable, unless renting)
    • snowboard + helmet + boots OR
    • snowshoes + poles
  • Backpack

  • Snacks (granola bars, energy bars, fruit, chocolate)
  • Proper clothing
    • Winter:
      • Synthetic (or wool) underwear/base layer
      • Synthetic or wool layers to keep you warm
      • Waterproof and windproof outer layer (snow pants are strongly recommended)
      • Cotton is not recommended as it absorbs moisture instead of wicking it away like synthetic materials
      • Toque or winter hat
      • Waterproof gloves or mitts
      • Warm socks (avoid cotton and maybe bring an extra pair in case the first pair gets wet)
      • Scarf or neck warmer (avoid cotton)
    • Summer:
      • Waterproof outer layer
      • Waterproof hiking boots are recommended
